Welcome to Kennydid

This is the first edition of the Kennydid Gallery of Photographic Art blog.  We want to keep everyone informed of the exhibits and events being offered at the Gallery and the Upstairs Studio.  If you haven’t yet visited the gallery and studio in beautiful downtown historic Midway, KY, we urge you to do so.  We are located at 102 E. Main St. (commonly known as Railroad Street) directly across the railroad tracks from Midway City Hall.  Midway, KY is a delightful town in which to spend an afternoon or a lifetime.
The gallery is unique in that it only exhibits photographic works.  Each photographic artist has his/her unique style.  Artists with work currently on display in the gallery are JoAnn Stewart from Union, KY, Melissa T. Hall from Lexington, KY, David Toczka from Elizabethtown, KY, Roger Ballard from Versailles, KY, Bruce Frank from Georgetown, KY, Ralph Tyree from Winchester, KY, Kathleen Imhoff from Lexington, Alexey Stiop from Georgetown, Larry Neuzel from Lexington, Perry Lee from Frankfort, KY, Jeff Rogers from Lexington, Paul Atkinson from Versailles, Fred Reaves from Henderson, KY, Kimberly Earlywine Hale from Stamping Ground, KY and Kenny Smith from Lexington.  Kenny is also the proprietor of the Kennydid Gallery.
The Upstairs Gallery is over 2,000 sq. ft. of very unique space.  From the high arched windows, wooden floors, exposed brick walls, open-rafter ceiling, and antique furniture to the natural lighting, props and backdrops, it is a special place for a photo shoot.  It is available for hourly rental to photographers, models, camera groups, etc.  Included are a dressing room, bathroom, and small kitchen.  Contact Kenny at 859-333-9909 or Kenny@kennydid.com for rates and availability.
In upcoming blogs we will be profiling the artists and featuring some of their work.
Stay tuned.
